    Ashwani Saith is a Professor and Emeritus Dean at the School of Liberal Studies. His research interests are in critical and empirical interrogations of official poverty measurement methodologies, agrarian change and rural development, Asian economic development and history of economic thought. Ashwani is Emeritus Professor at the International Institute of Social Studies, IISS (of Erasmus University Rotterdam, EUR) The Hague and has held research and teaching positions at the Delhi School of Economics; Faculty of Economics, Cambridge; Queen Elizabeth House, Oxford; and the London School of Economics, where he was the first Chair of Development Studies and Head of its Development Studies Institute.
