    Meet the Assistant Professor

    Ranjib Banerjee

    Assistant Professor,
    School of Engineering

    prabhakar

Dr. Ranjib Banerjee is Assistant Professor in Mathematics, School of Engineering & Technology. He has worked as a CSIR-Research Fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Syamal Kumar Dana at Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata and earned his PhD in Mathematics from Jadavpur University in 2015.

Apart from qualifying NET (CSIR) in December 2005, he has also qualified GATE and SET in 2006. His primary research interest is Nonlinear Dynamics & Chaos Synchronization, Computational Mathematics and Complex Network. During his PhD, he successfully designed and applied Open-Plus-Closed-Loop (OPCL) coupling to investigate the occurrence of different forms of coherent dynamics in coupled oscillators and complex networks. He has published many research papers in reputed international journals with high impact factors and presented his research work in many national and international conferences/seminars.

He had been funded by Max-Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, Dresden, Germany, in 2008, to visit the institute and to carry out collaborative research work there. He has more than four-and-a-half years of cumulative experience of teaching undergraduate mathematics and its engineering and industrial applications in various institutes and universities. Prior to joining BMU, he was associated with University of Technology and Management, Shillong.

Dr. Banerjee has been a life member of Indian Mathematical Society since December 2014. He is also the reviewer of two international journals: Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation (an Elsevier Journal) and European Physical Journal (Special Edition). On the personal front, he loves travelling and exploring new things. He is very fond of listening to soft and melodious music and interacting with people.
