    The Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I2E) at BMU stands as a key pillar in advancing the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship mission. The initiatives driving this mission are as follows.

    The incubator hub at the campus with contemporary facilities is required to support start-up ventures.

    Institute of Inclusive Innovation (I3)

    It has been established in collaboration with Imperial College London to facilitate cross-border innovation, research and training. I3 –Institute of Inclusive Innovation: Aims to establish & sustain an international platform by:

    • Facilitating innovation across borders
    • Knowledge creation and research opportunities
    • Cross-border collaborative teaching
    • Research and training programmes

    The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) was established in collaboration with the MHRD Innovation Cell at AICTE. The council provides operational leadership for innovation and entrepreneurship activities conducted by BMU students and faculty.

    Propel Incubator

    Propel offers incubation to full-time/part-time BMU students (current/alumni) who intend to nurture their business ideas. While in incubation, these students get to avail the various facilities of the incubator and interact and learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs. They get to meet their mentors during various mentoring sessions and learn how to incorporate a company, validate a business model, formulate a go-to-market strategy, build a core team, and many more.

    VISION

    • Create an eco-system to nurture ‘ENTREPRENEURS’ who are innovative, tenacious, ethical and have a great zeal to create economic value and societal impact through their ventures.
    • Seek to advance and disseminate best-in-class, contemporary knowledge and practices in the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

    MISSION

    • Conduct programmes, courses, events, challenges, and other engagements to ignite the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students, faculty and community.
    • Build a network with entrepreneurs, mentors, experts and service providers to be leveraged for the benefit of the budding start-ups.
    • Drive active engagement of industry in the innovation activities being conducted by 12E.
    • Collaborate with academia, policymakers, and industry to create research-based knowledge on innovation and entrepreneurship.

    Steering Committee

    The Steering Committee of I2E meets at least twice yearly; seven meetings have been held.

    Chaired by Dr. George Goh donor of the Chair in Entrepreneurship & Innovation set up at I2E.

    Steering committee members are accessible to I2E for mentoring in between meetings.
