    Arindam

    Arindam Banerjee, Ph.D.

    Dean, School of Liberal Studies

    Arindam Banerjee is the Officiating Dean and Professor at the School of Liberal Studies, BML Munjal University. He taught at Ambedkar University Delhi and the Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum. His teaching and research interests are colonialism, political economy, economic thought, rural development and food economy. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He completed his doctoral research studying agrarian relations under neo-liberalism from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

    He has also researched and published on various topics like agrarian relations under neo-liberalism, global food crisis and its linkage with corn-ethanol, food management in India and colonial historiography in various journals like Development and Change, Social Scientist, Economic and Political Weekly and in edited volumes. He has co-edited the book Dispossession, Deprivation and Development: Essays in the honour of Utsa Patnaik, Columbia University Press. He has also been an external consultant to the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Food and Agricultural Organisation.
