    Student Project

    The Smart Blindstick

    Achievements:
    Date:

Students at BMU have invented the Smart Blindstick, which continuously scans the surroundings to detect obstacles and provides different beeps and vibrations for pits, uplifted objects, and hanging obstacles. What’s most unique about this is its SOS Button, which sends an SMS with its location and calls emergency contacts when pressed for 5 seconds.
The Smart Blind Stick is an innovative assistive device designed to enhance visually impaired individuals’ independence, safety, and quality of life. The stick has advanced sensor technology, including ultrasonic sensors, GPS, and GSM modules. These components work together to detect obstacles, provide real-time navigation, and send emergency SOS alerts, ensuring users can confidently navigate their surroundings.
The project aims to promote inclusivity and accessibility in society, enabling visually impaired individuals to move safely and independently. This initiative also supports workforce integration by making environments more accessible, contributing to economic growth.

    Water Quality

    Aquaculture Water Quality Monitoring System

    Achievements:
    Date:

BMU’s “Aquaculture Water Quality Monitoring System (AWQMS)”—a first-year Joy of Engineering project has been selected for the SEED grant from BMU!

AWQMS is a revolutionary two-in-one device that monitors the quality of drinking water and various parameters required for different fish species, such as Katla and Rohu. It provides farmers with live updates about the optimal levels to maintain fish health in ponds.
Their dedication and hard work paid off as they successfully demonstrated their project prototype at the Government Fish SEE FARM, LISANA, Jhajjar, Rewari.

The students behind this launch are focused on building strategic partnerships and scaling their operations. They are actively engaging with stakeholders across the aquaculture industry—from fish farmers to governmental bodies—to ensure widespread adoption of their technology. Their goal is to make AWQMS accessible to farmers of all scales, from small family-run operations to large commercial enterprises.
We are immensely proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing the positive impact of AWQMS in the aquaculture industry.

    SOLAR E-KART

    Achievements:
    Date:

The solar-powered e-kart- concept for vegetable vendors by BMU students is a groundbreaking innovation that combines sustainability with practical benefits. Equipped with high-efficiency solar panels, the e-kart harnesses solar energy to power its operations, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels and reducing emissions. Its integrated cooling system uses stored solar energy to maintain optimal temperatures, ensuring that vegetables remain fresh for longer, thereby minimizing spoilage. This solution enhances the quality of the produce delivered and supports vendors by reducing operational costs and increasing profit margins.

In addition to its cost efficiency and environmental benefits, the solar-powered e-kart offers enhanced mobility, allowing vendors to easily navigate crowded marketplaces and reach a wider customer base. Its eco-friendly design appeals to consumers who prioritize sustainability, boosting the vendor’s brand image. Vendors can contribute to broader sustainability goals by adopting this innovative solution while improving their business operations. The solar-powered e-kart sets a new standard for efficiency and quality in the fresh produce industry, representing a significant step towards a greener future.
