Saumya TiwariB.Tech, Class of 2019
Founded Enactus BMU, a community of students and business leaders to explore social entrepreneurship opportunity in order to impact the lives of underprivileged. Under my leadership, project “Shilp Naari” was started. Shilp Naari encourages a source of entrepreneurship to women which is social and environmental friendly and empowers them with a sense of independence. Our very first project got selected for Enactus National Competition held at Mumbai, Maharashtra. We were selected among 58 teams from 160+ teams across India.
My Research Paper on IoT Based Fire Alarm and Monitoring System published in International Journal of Innovations & Advancement in Computer Science (IJIACS). I went to a conference in New Delhi to present my paper.
I have completed Data Science course from Harvard University, based on which I got an internship opportunity in British MNC JCB Design Centre, Pune, Maharashtra.
I have completed Data Analytics course from Imperial College Business School.
Won 2nd position for table tennis at inter quad tournament at campus.
I will be pursuing an MBA in Marketing from SP Jain School of Global Management, which is listed 4th rank in the world by the Times Higher Education (UK) and Wall Street Journal (USA).
I am very fortunate to be part of BMU family, founded by Hero Group and mentored by Imperial College London, it has changed my life. I was introvert back in school, never thought I can a lead bunch of students. BMU has nurtured its student to be independent, skilled, audacious and assiduous. It has helped me to find my hidden potential, strengths and weaknesses. The course curriculum is designed in such a manner that not only includes engineering subjects but also includes subjects, focused to improve and enhance intangible skills such as communication, leadership, critical reasoning and many more. I have become much more responsible and disciplined than I was when I came to this college. The best part is that I got the opportunity to study under best faculty from renowned colleges, they helped me envision big dreams and helped me to understand the concept of Deep Learning (studying concepts from the (renowned) books rather than online material, which most students prefers to read from). BMU is absolutely focused on “hands on learning”, they keep improving their curriculum to be at par with the industry wherein, all old colleges are lacking this, students are not prepared for future industry challenges. I am very sure that BMU will become one of the best upcoming colleges in India.
Himasekhar VemuruB.Tech, Class of 2019
Will be pursuing Master of science in Computer Engineering at Arizona State University, Tempe during Fall 2019.
Ever since I was a child, the evolution of computers and mobile phones surprised me to a great extent. It was even more fascinating when I got to know that the transition phase which was experienced by me was no-where comparable to the paradigm shift in the electronics industry from 1950’s till today. Chips have shrunk a million times and has the performance risen on the same lines. It could be a coincidence that I started enjoying physics in my senior secondary. Although mathematics and programming were my favourite subjects in schooling, my curiosity to learn about how can a small chip possess tremendous computational power drove me into pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering at BML Munjal University. During my graduation at BMU I have learnt a lot of things both in academic and social aspects. Faculty has given me motivation in learning new things and helped me to improve my knowledge. Having strong basic knowledge in the field of electronics and the projects and research done in BMU has helped me to continue my studies in esteemed University like ASU. I have developed some leadership qualities by working in various positions in robotics club. I have also developed some social responsibility by working as a buddy in my 3rd year. The environment in BMU is equivalent to my home and I have enjoyed my stay here with my friends.
Thipparthi SamhithaB.Tech, Class of 2019
Owing to my interest in Electronics, I chose a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) after I graduated high school. The curiosity concerning functioning of everything electronic, from a light bulb to a microprocessor chip, formed a whirlpool of intriguing questions that eventually landed me at BML Munjal University, Gurgaon, India. With avant-garde curriculum structure, my college has benefitted my understanding of variegated subjects with intensive practical approach.
The diverse culture at the campus exposed me to different traditions and I learnt a lot about people and their cultures.
The best aspect of my college life has been that it has challenged me everyday ever since and I have come out successful at the end.
However, in my Third Semester of Engineering, I was given light to the concept of Big Data by my lecturer Dr. Vijay Ghei, who taught us the perspective course of “Critical Reasoning and Systems Thinking”. Since then, I realized the growing need for Data analysts in organizations and I developed a keen interest in Data and Information Analytics, which provides the essential tools in solving both managerial and technical problems, has urged me to pursue my higher studies in the same.
I am now a student of Information Systems in the University of North Texas, Denton. And the credit for this achievement goes to my lecturers, who have constantly pushed me to do good and supported me till I gained what I aimed for. I am immensely grateful and thankful to them and to this prestigious institution for being a major part in landing me to my Dream University for Masters.
Karri ReddyB.Tech, Class of 2019

- Here, at BMU, I've truly enjoyed and reaped the benefits of a diverse peer group and almost always approachable faculty. BMU has succeeded in giving its maximum for all-round development of its students and I feel the difference.
Sahil VohraB.Tech, Class of 2019
I was placed twice in two great companies. I consider myself a bit lucky. But currently I am working inSynopsys as A&MS Layout Design Engineer in Logic Libraries team in Solutions Group.
We all have heard that where there is will there is a way, but I feel along with a person’s sincere efforts there are certain factors which play key role in bringing the best out of a person. Few of the factors are like the environment and the people you are surrounded by, and BMU has provided me with best of both these. The environment and opportunities which BMU has provided has been extraordinary but the best part of my experience was the encouraging and helping faculty who helped and guided me to get through the tough times, they have been like the backbone (support system) throughout my college time. I am blessed and lucky to have them by my side whenever I need them. I thank BMU for all this
Utkarsh DviwediB.Tech, Class of 2019
I am currently pursuing MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Colorado Boulder with Specialization in Digital Signal Processing. I did my undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from BML Munjal University. During my time here at BML I was active in the extracurricular activities which included a rock band, managing several clubs etc. The experience and exposure from these were instrumental in my personality development. Courses taught here, especially the ones by Prof Mohit Sinha, Prof Ashok Suhag, Prof Swati Jha and Prof Ziya Uddin were responsible for strong fundamentals on which my MS research is based on. At BU Boulder I am the vice president and signer for the South Asian Music Association. I have interned at Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute Pilani and National Centre for Radio Astrophysics for research during my stay at BML Munjal University.
I have grown with the University as I was from the foundation batch and we have seen the infrastructure and the human element that makes brick and mortar a living breathing campus come about around us during our stay at BML. The memories I take from my college life, the learning and the friends will be with me all my life.
Jahnavi MulpuryB.Tech, Class of 2019
I jahnavi, former student of BML Munjal University. I'm grateful that I made the right choice in joining BML Munjal university, where I got an opportunity to learn, explore, enjoy and experience new things.
I got to make new friends from different parts of India, from different regions, various cultures. BMU intended not just to bring out good engineers but also to deliver students performing in broad spectrum. Faculty stood with us in everyday ups and downs, it included projects, sports as well as our placements.
BMU believes in hands on learning. So, our curriculum included industrial internship for 6 months in final year. Our placements department took into consideration of each student's dream company and made sure that they visited college for our placements. Among which I got an opportunity to appear for SYNOPSYS. I was able to clear the interview only because of the constant support and encouragement from my faculty and parents. Today I'm a Verification Engineer in SYNOPSYS
